I would look at bridal shops to see if you can buy one off the rack and have it altered.  You have enough time to alter a dress still.

If there’s a David’s Bridal in your area you should check it out! They’re stocked in all sizes so if you want something from their range you can buy it and take it home! Then you could have it altered!

Have you checked your local Craigslist? Not sure if you’d be okay with wearing second hand, but at this point there’s no way you could order, even if it’s rush. I asked about that and they say it takes 6-8 weeks.

Go research about alterations in your area, they might be booked heavily due to the wedding season. Good luck! ๐Ÿ™‚

Some stores also sell their samples — you could look into that as well.

preownedweddingdresses.com  I sold two dresses there and bought one.  Our engagement was shorter than some manufacturer’s shipping time.

You can try browsing the stores and then see what is available preowned.  You can find beautifully crafted silk dresses for the price of DB, and since you’re in NY, you can probably actually see and try on a lot of the dresses before committing.

A lot of store samples for sale that I saw (also in a high-volume area) were pretty grimey and ripped by the time they put them up for sale.  The actual owner-brides (who probably knew that they needed to resell the dress to make budget!) seemed to do very little damage to their gowns by comparison.

I bought mine at David’s Bridal and they were FAST! I had the dress in about 3 weeks.
