You have no idea when you will ovulate so there is no way of knowing that you could or would get pregnant on your honeymoon. You’ll probably just end up fing up your cycle and getting your period on your wedding day or honey moon. Carry through with this pack of pills, get your period, and then start trying for a baby. You can even start taking your basal body temp each more when you’re done your pack of pills to determine when you ovulate. You cycle while on the pill is 28 days, but in reality your body’s own cycle may be 21, 28, 24, or 40 days. You’ll have no idea when you try for a baby until you’ve been off the pill.

I’m concerned that you have been on the pill, but aren’t sure how it works. The odds of getting pregnant on the pill with typical use is 9%.

Ditto PP in that you need to be off the pill for some amount of time before trying to get pregnant. You can either go off the pill now and risk having a period on your honeymoon, or go off the pill after your honeymoon. I would recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility.

I’m not a doctor, but as someone who got pregnant on my honeymoon after doing a great deal of research on more or less what you’re talking about, I can tell you that if you want to get pregnant this is the way to do it. On average women ovulate 14 days after the first day of their period, so if you want to have any chance at all of getting pregnant, my advice to you would be to figure out how many days after taking your last active pill your period usually starts, add 14 to that number, and then subtract that many days from a date somewhere in the middle of your honeymoon to figure out when to take your last active pill. Ideally you’d have thought of this a month or two ahead, so you could time it so you’d be finishing a month’s supply of active pills on that day, but it’s not harmful to go off the pill midmonth, and doing so will probably still trigger your period and get it out of the way in time for your wedding unless you have an unusually long period. But, it might not. So if you do this you should be open to the possibility that you might still have your period on your honeymoon.

I’ve never had a baby either, but if I do ever TTC I will be planning it out far in advance. I will take prenatal Vitamins months before I even start trying to get my body healthy and probably not drink at least a month before. While sure you could drink, why would you even remotely risk it? Wouldn’t you want to prepare for the baby by being the healthiest possible? Syre the idea of a honeymoon baby is romantic, but why don’t you go and enjoy it and then start to TTC when you get home after a few months. Write your thank you notes, detoox and de stress and then start trying!

Read taking charge of your fertility.  It will give you a much better idea of how your body and conception works.

If you want to try getting pregnant 1/1 you should probably quit your pills immediately.  You would probably have withdrawl bleeding this week, but I doubt you’d have your period on 12/31 since it is only 16 days from now.

You can’t just skip a pill or two and expect to get pregnant.  You either quit them now and take your chances (it is always possible you could get pregnant on your honeymoon) or stay on them until your honeymoon is over and go off of them then.

Assuming you eat healthy, you do not need to be on prenatals in advance (even though it is recommended) and yes you can drink while you try to conceive.  Drink until you get a positive pregnancy test IMO.

I am getting married NYE as well! I would just take them and wait until next month to conceive, you don’t want to bleed for your wedding and honeymoon by going off the pill.
