I live in New England (CT to be specific) and my fiance and I are getting married on 10/25 of this year.
The last 2 Octobers, right towards the end of the month, we’ve had a huge snow storm and last year we had Hurricane Sandy. New England weather is pretty hectic as it is, especially that time of the year.
What do you think, should we purchase wedding insurance? Has anyone else ever done it?

@kaykayy: I am planning on it. You never know what might happened. I’ve needed two emergency surgeries I never imagined needing/getting. For whatever reason, it’s great to have insurance and I hear it’s only a couple hundred bucks!

I did and we didn’t use it however it was good to have the peace of mind

I am planning on having wedding insurence ‘just in case’.
You wouldn’t drive around in an uninsured car, or wear an uninsured engagement ring – IMO why should a wedding be any different.

I haven’t even thought of getting wedding insurance.. I don’t really think I need it and right now it isn’t something we could afford to buy

@nativedesires: Same here, we didn’t use ours either. But I was able to buy piece of mind for less than $150, so worth every penny to me. I had a Destination Wedding in Florida, on the beach, in October so it was a smart decision considering it is hurricane season.that time of year.
