My brother and three of his/our friends will be singing during our ceremony. We have not nailed down exactly when it will be, but my brother has been sending me song suggestions and I don’t like very many of them. I really like the song When I Say I Do by Matthew West, but I’m not sure it’s the best song for them to sing? It’s more from the husband. Do any you have any suggestions for a good song that’s more about love than from the bride or groom’s point of view? Or should I just go with this one? I have to pick one by Christmas so they have time to practice because they are all in college in different areas and they want to have time to work on it together.

What about “The Wedding Song (There is Love)” by Noel Paul Stookey? The tense of that song is actually from the point of view of looking at the couple and talking about what God sees.
I also think that a bunch of college guys singing “when a man loves a woman” would be fantastic and really super fun.
Honestly, I would worry too much about tense – which I think is what your problem is…. the guys are singing a song *about* your love. Not how THEY Feel about your love. So, think of it more than just if your brother was singing…. and instead that he is singing a song the exemplifies how you and your husband feel about each other.

Thanks! I think you’re right about the tense. I love how pretty When I Say I Do is and I think I’ll probably go with it unless my brother finds one that really stands out. But I’m done looking!
