Congratulations!  This is going to be a fun time for you.

First, start looking at venues and book this first.  This will set your date and location.  Second, your venue may reccomend how far in advance they need your final count.  If you are doing an outside caterer, you should book them second.  These are your two biggest, most financially important decisions.  Go ahead and knock them off the list.  Based on when final counts are due, this will set your RSVP date.  If you don’t have a due date, I’d suggest 3 weeks before the wedding.  I recommend a week before the final count is due in case you have to make follow up phone calls (most likely you will).  Then send your invitations out 6-8 weeks before that.

As far as Save-The-Date Cards, I would send those anytime after you book your venue (so you can include the date and location).  You are already at the 12 month mark, so anytime is acceptable.  Take a deep breath!  Everything will be just fine, you have plenty of time!  Enjoy it.

Send save the dates 6-9  months before,  invitations 6-8  weeks before,  and have the RSVP  deadline twoish weeks before.
