@luluvohn:  We purchased our save the dates from wedding paper divas and they were gorgeous!  I love that company. At least once a month they seem to run 20%-25% off coupon codes, so wait for that. I have no problem spending money, but I HATE wasting it when I know I could get the same thing for a better price.

I probably spent $1 / invite + postage by designing my own on Photoshop and then printing them on Vistaprint and then cutting them to size with a paper cutter. I also had a friend who got me some great coupons at Vistaprint as well. I only had the invitation and an RSVP card.

@Zzwei:  I only did the basics with my invitation. Invitation/Invitation Envelope and RSVP card/Envelope.

We printed our own directions as I didn’t see it was necessary to pay someone to do that.

We paid $650 for our invitations. More than what I would have wanted to spend on paper, but it was the cheapest I could go for the quality that I wanted.

@Zzwei:  I got the full set (with inserts and everything) that you stick in the printer on sale at Michael’s. $29.99 for a 30 pack. So they came to a dollar each. It took a while to make them but they looked fantastic.

@Zzwei:  We went all out for our invitations and they were a little over $8.00 a piece. We spent in total closer to $900.00 for 100 invitations. These included customized font, artwork and colors and several inserts.

This does not include the cost of stamps and calligraphy.

I had almost a full set. We have the invitation and RSVP cards with envelopes. I am going to print out a map myself, but I can get cardstock pretty cheap. I spent roughly $60 on 80 invitations. I bought a kit from Michael’s and a family friend is printing them for next to nothing at their print shop.

We got ours from Minted.com (I highly recommend by the way) and for the invitation, rsvp card, and envelopes it was $170 for 25.  I had a 10% off coupoon. I also spent around 5 bucks on ribbon at Michael’s.

All the other information we have posted to our website.

I went to zazzle.com found the invtied we both loved. We got 140 -invites, envelopes and rsvps for 589. However though it’s free shipping and depending on the quantity you save money. Plus, they always have dsicount codes everyday. You can enter anywhere from 15-50% off. We’re ordering around the holoidays this year because that’s when it’s mostly 50% off.

We ordered invites and RSVP cards.  We put accomodations, directions and registry information on our wedding website.  For our older guests who don’t use the internet, we printed insert cards on cardstock using our home computer.

We bought a half off deal for Wedding Paper Divas from giltcity.com (pay $75 for a $150 credit).  In total, we paid $165 for 70 invites and RSVPs, incl shipping.  So, $2.36 per invite.

I think mine were 85 cents per invite? We had an invitation, RSVP card, and reception/info card. I designed them and had them printed through Vistaprint with Groupons.

My invites were $170 for 200, only needed 150

and $176 for postage I Semi-DIY and designed everything including our logo since I design on the side.

People whom I’ve told they were DIY were shocked. 🙂
