We had a hand-torn invitation with gold edging, with lined inner envelopes, outer envelopes.  We also had a matching response set.  I think we paid $500 or $600.

We spent about $7 per invite. The pockets were custom made by a designer on etsy. I designed the main invite myself and I had 4 inserts. I bought the paper and envelopes on Paper and More and Ink at staples and did the printing at home. Most of the invites will be hand delivered so I only have to pay postage on about 6 of the 50 of them.

@luluvohn:   Did you order the free samples from Wedding Paper Divas?  If you do, they will include a coupon (15%, I think) for a future order with the samples.  I then ordered my STDs with the 15% coupon and now they have sent me a few 20% coupons online to “complete my order”!  Yay!

We got our invitations from Etsy.  We had pocket invitations with 3 inserts and a band with our own personalized seal that she created for us.  We paid $5 an invitation, we used Invitations by Emily and she was fabulous.  We are going to use her also for our programs, place cards, and thank you notes.  She was so easy to work with.  Everyone has loved our invitations!!!

Like $965 for 55 invites, hand calligraphy and letterpressed from Bella Figura on really thick paper. I’m obsessed with them and I don’t regret the extra $. I skipped the RSVP cards but sort of wish that I hadn’t.

In total I spent about $80 for my 65 invitations. I bought two michaels kits, designed them myself and printed at a local shop. That includes the invite, pocket, info card and rehearsal card. My info card directed people to our wedding website. I wanted practical invites that represented our wedding, but I also could not justify spending a toN of money on something that will be thrown away. Note, this was the second to final draft, I fixed the alignment on the info card.

@MissMiaMarch:  oh yeah, I used a coupon on the Save The Dates, but every once in awhile they’ll send out a really good one, like 40% off, so I’m holding out for one of those.

@Zzwei:  we went for everything and our invites are custom made. We are also getting our programs and place cards made by the same person too. All of that stuff is $995. We are inviting about 170 people so we need around 90 inVites

ETA: included is printed calligraphy on all the envelopes.

I’m doing the fancy pocket fold invites with inserts. The style I wanted is $7-8 per invite and Fiance was not willing to pay that because I can make them myself, I just didn’t want to Lol.  I’m probably spending that anyway when you add the cost of ribbon, crystal brooches, flocked paper etc.

About $450 is what I’ll be sending on 65 invitations.

@luluvohn:  Really??  I haven’t seen one that good!  Hmm…I have roughly 6 weeks before I have to order mine.  If you get a code larger than 25% would you PM me or post here on the boards?  Thanks!

We’re spending -wait for it- $0 on invites!

I’m creating them myself on Photoshop and my grandmother works at a printing company who will be printing them for us as a wedding gift (though they’re also printing all of our printed materials that I’ll be making.)

I’m very grateful that we’ll be able to save money this way!

I designed our invites myself. I am ordering the invitations and inserts from CatPrint.com, which I highly recommend. They offer a ton of options for paper, as well as custom sizes and quantities. They are also sending a hard copy proof ahead of time for me to approve before they print the whole order.

Then I am using Cards & Pockets to get pocketfolds, belly bands, mailing and RSVP envelopes, and belly band seals.

In all it will be just under $3.50 per invitation, not including postage.
