getwedprintables :  i didn’t get wedding invitations from Etsy (i went with Mintd because I wanted foil) but i HAVE gotten other invitations from Etsy for showers, etc. and the reason I chose Etsy over Minted is because it was WAY cheaper to purchase and then have printed through Catprint than buying from Minted. Plus, there are some great designs on Etsy.

As for VP – i know there’s a love affair with VP here, but the few times I’ve ordered, ive found VP sizing really annoying. They call their invites “5×7” but they’re not. They’re really off sizes – something like 4.6×7.2. Which means it does NOT fit in a standard A7 envelope, and the envelopes vistprint supplies are total shit. I really hate how misleading they are with the sizing.

I have looked at Etsy more because you can get something unique. Most the businesses you can shoot them a message and ask if they can tweak something to fit the look you are going for. Etsy is definitely the place if you want something diffrent. I have seen invitations that are printed on little scrolls or printed to look like a book. So many options on Etsy. I feel like a lot of the current wedding invitations I have seen over and over for a long time and they all kind of look the same on Shutterfly and Mintd. But if your going for the more common look I would buy it all printed from one of them over Etsy. But so far I have only looked on Etsy Shutterfly and just recently mintd.
