Ours was not really unique but it was a little more modern.

“Lady Bee and Gentleman Bee invite you to celebrate with them as they exchange their wedding vows on August 18, 2013 at 4:30 p.m.”

Then I listed the location, and wrote “Ceremony will be outdoors with reception to follow inside” so people could dress accordingly and/or bring sunscreen if they needed.

  • Wedding: July 2014

we wanted something that felt more like us, so we used the language below and we didn’t talk in third person or spell out numbers (we did use normal capitalization but I was lazy typing it below). Ours is also a minibook for our destination wedding, so we gave info in travel, accommodations, weather, and more

Because you have believed in us, loved us, and encouraged us

shkra & shkra’s FI

ask you to join us as we exchange marriage vows and celebrate the beginning of our new life together

day, July date, 2014

5:00 pm

reception following ceremony

bring your dancing shoes

Semi-formal attire

Shkragoldfish:  I know it’s 2 years on but can you share what your minibook invitation for your destination wedding looked like? My FI and I are planning a DW in Brazil, where his family lives, so it’s only DW for my family and friends abroad, but we’d like to do something similar with our invitations, but haven’t come up with anything yet. It would be great to see an example! TIA
