(Closed) Wedding Invitation Wording question?

In my situation,  I’m using “together with their families” because I have step parents too, and even though I think of my step parents as “parents,” I don’t think that would be the message that is conveyed to guests if the invitations say “together with their parents.”

I think you could put ‘families’ if you have step-parents, or if another family member is contributing to the cost of the event (like your grandmother or something).

We used “families” because my FI’s father is deceased. Parents would still have been technically accurate, but we decided to go this way instead. Also, neither family is paying for any part of the wedding, so we didn’t have to consider them as hosts.
