@SouthernGirl:  I bought my kit at Michaels when it was 40% off. I paid $20 for a set of 40. So I bought 2 sets for $40. (you could always use a coupon from the paper for 40% off as well). It included the invite paper, an envelope, a “jacket” for the invite, and a response card/envelope.

Walmart?, michaels? I’m not much help. I bought stationary to make our own which was cheaper.

We got ours at Party City. They looked awesome, and were only about $90 for 60 invitations.

By the time I was done with my weddingpaperdivas suite and pocketfold enclosures, custom cutting,  professional assemby, ribbon wrapping, and address printing it came to $460 for 30 invitations. Thirty. Yes invitations r expensive. I chose not to DIY, tho. So I can’t complain.

DIY invitations are pretty easy if you have a good printer.   I did my daughter’s invitations from a kit a few years ago and will do mine.

Be aware that with square envelopes that you will be paying additional postage.

I got 100 each of Save the Dates, Invitations w/ response cards, seating cards and thank you notes with extra envelopes from Vistaprint for $220 – keep looking around if you don’t want to DIY. So far I’ve gotten great feedback on the Save the Dates, people really liked them.

@sunshine_kar:  Vistaprint is great – I picked out something simple but elegant, they had tons of choices, and the price can’t be beat. When I told people how much I paid, they were amazed. I was not paying a fortune for something that people just throw away LOL!
