I can’t agree enough about checklists…make them early when you have some time to think about it. It helped me to keep all of the moving parts working in order.

What also really helped me was developing a very specific and detailed timeline. I gave it to everyone to whom it might be useful: the caterer, the band, my coordinator, the venue coordinator, the photographer, the officiant, etc. When I say detailed, I mean it had timeslots like “8:13-8:16” ๐Ÿ™‚ It helped me out so much, though…once it was out of my hands, I trusted that it would go as planned because everyone knew exactly what the plan was!

In the 2 weeks leading up to my wedding, I was too busy to be nervous.

On top of checklists, might I suggest you leave as little to the last minute as possible. I was so frazzled the morning of my wedding that I left my bouquets at home! If I could do anything differently, I would have pushed my entire 2 weeks leading up to the wedding over by a day and taken friday(before my wedding) to relax & be happy.

I also wish I had had more time getting ready in the morning… A couple of my vendors would have gotten a piece of my mind but I was too rushed to have them redo things!

Lastly, if “everything goes wrong”, don’t worry: you’re the only one that will notice!

@Mrs.Jansen:  Of course!! Don’t stress too much & like PP have said- try to get it all done early so that you can relax the day before.
