I have a budget freakout just about every week!

I’ve had serious budget woes since we got engaged months ago… so, it’s a state of mind for me.  And, what’s worse, we’ve had unavoidable and unexpected expenses creep up that we had to tap into the wedding fund for.

I’ll be SOOOO happy once the wedding is over and the final price tag is determined.  Until then, it’s just one freak out after another.

Ha!  Budget freak out isn’t even the sufficient!  I have tweaked on more than one occasion.  I have NO extra dinero, its all spent or already going toward something when I get paid.  If there are any unexpected expenses… we’re screwed!  Its crazy stressful.  I can’t wait to relax and not have to be AS rigid as we’re forced to be about money.

I hear you on the mini freak-out-ness.  As we keep paying for things, things that I did fully anticipate, it’s making me want to throw up.  Seriously.  I’m good at spending money (ha, who isn’t?), but spending such amounts all at the same time is ba-na-nas.  With all the deposits, finishing payments, and the days counting down, I’m fully bracing for a meltdown at some point.  🙂

Yes. I am. My wedding is in 24 more days! So that means that May is the last month that I have to buy stuff. Thankfully God has provided, but I’m running out of money. I mean I may have to buy the flowers with our savings! Yikes…

my wedding isnt for 9 months and i have a budget freak out about every two weeks or so 🙂 we are trying to stash the cash as much as possible so when we need to pay for things we will be prepared, but i know we are going to fall short and will have to throw some on a credit card in the end.. 🙂

Our destination wedding is 10 wks and change away and I’m in full blown budget freak out mode. We spent some money we probably shouldnt have and it didn’t really work in our favor. Fi got called out of a week of work (immediately after upgrading the diamond in my engagement ring)… his transfer to a rate job site that would have paid over double his wages-delayed until god only knows what and then he got transfered to maryland with NO per diem. My car blew up on the way home from a weekend getaway the week before that and now I’m freaking out! We are barely making ends meet the last couple weeks let alone paying off the rest of our wedding stuff. OUr biggest feat- paying off the venue in 5-6 more weeks and that’s almost another thousand dollars.

I was absolutely super stressed out about money/finances last night.  On top of wedding stuff, my Fiance and I just moved in together and had to furnish our whole apartment (we had nothing but a broken couch and we’re having to make due with the couch for a while).  Plus we bought a washer and dryer and vacuum.

Luckily, my parents have paid for most of the wedding but Fiance and I still have to pay the DJ, get gifts for our bridal party, I have to do alterations, pay to fly to IN for a weekend to do our pre-marriage counseling, fly to my bachelorette party, pay for the honeymoon, etc and the expenses really feel like they’re adding up.  I know I have the money in my account (I was really good at saving through HS and college) but I hate seeing the account balance dropping – I’m used to it growing.

Fiance doesn’t get my stress.  He just tells me that we have the money and its times like this that you save for / we’re at a really expense point in our lives / spending will go back to normal after in August after the wedding / etc.  But I can’t help stressing!

We are not even close to being over budget yet but i just got 3 RSVP’s from people with”2″ written in and there was only one person invited. All from the same family(not mine or FI’s). So FI’s friends family alone is $450 for food and drink! All I can hear is cha-ching, cha-ching cha-ching. I’m horrible.

@future mrs kirsch – You should call and tell them that unfortunately you will not be able to accomodate their guests.  It may be kind of an awkward phone call to make, but don’t let them bring people you did not invite.

Our wedding is still over a year away so I’m really just starting to get into proper savings mode but I am panicking already. I am trying to talk myself down from freaking out.
