My fiance and I are having our wedding in Cleveland this summer. It’s going to be a super small wedding with just immediate family and with my father as the officiant. The only problem is that I don’t know of a nice location near the lake. Edgewater is too busy and dirty, but I want something with that kind of view. Any ideas? I thought about Huntington Beach/park in Bay village. Please let me know your opinions and ideas.
PS- My fiance is in the Army and is soon to deploy so we are getting married earlier than planned. We are planning on having the big ceremony and reception next year with all our friends and extended family.

Have you checked any places in Vermillion or Huron? We had a house on the lake in Vermillion growing up & I just love it there. It would be a bit of a drive to the reception, but I was just curious if you’ve thought of exploring other options outside of the Cleveland metro area.

What about Rocky River Park? It’s right on the lake (although no swimming allowed) Theres cliff (more like a hill) that looks over the lake and has nice wooden steps leading to thte top, its beautiful during the sunset and I’ve seen more that one wedding there –It’s very clean as well
I added some photos to give you a better visual 🙂 The first picture would be located on the far left hand side of the second, if;put next to eachother! Just ask if you would like any more details!

Another Cleveland bride!! Yay!! What about Lakewood Park? That’s where I’m from so I’ve been there a lot. There is a huge open space by the bandstand. I like the Rocky River location, too.
By the way, Tiffany1027, I just posted something about a free veil with dress purchase from Catan on the Cleveland Local Board. I hope you can take advantage of it!

I’m getting married in Vermilion–ala Quiche’s suggestion–at the Inland Seas Maritime Museum. We have the beach, all grounds, and museum to ourselves for the entire night (something to consider for your future reception ). That being said, what about at a restaurant like Pier W? Stunning view of downtown from the convenience of Lakewood.
