Hi there! This is my first time posting 🙂 I’ve decided to do my own makeup for the wedding, because all of the artists I liked were already booked, and I genuinely enjoy doing my own makeup (I’ve gotten a lot better at doing it myself). I’m willing to shell out a little cash (I was hoping to stay under the $125 mark) and was wondering if there are any makeup guru’s out there who can suggest what products work best for a long day of being photographed! Mainly, I’m looking for foundation, eyeliner, and eye shadow suggestions! Thanks in advance!

foundation tends to look and work differently on different people so I would get samples of a few different foundations that interest you and try them out before buying anything.

Your biggest help for long wearing will be getting yourself a good eyeshadow primer, and finishing spray. The Nyx matte finishing spray is cheap and holds my simplest and heaviest eye looks really well.

I don’t really have recommendations of actual makeup, but definitely use primers!!! Face & eyes.

What skin type do you have? (Oily, Dry, Combo)

You should get the wet and wild photo focus foundation if you want to keep the cost down as it looks beautiful in person and on photos. I am a make up junkie and it’s better than loads of high end foundations I have tried. I wore NARS sheer glow on my wedding day and it also looks beautiful on but more of a glow finish so not suitable if you are oily skinned. It needed some powder touch ups. The wet and wild is good for all types. The new Laura mercier flawless fusion is my other current favorite and is very long lasting, blends beautifully and again good for all skin types.
Eyeliner – marc Jacobs highline gel liner is great and for a liquid liner make up forever have an xl waterproof one that will last all day.
Eyeshadow- hard to recommend without knowing your coloring?? but in terms of formula NARS, and MAC have a great range of colours and finishes and you probably only need 2-3 colours to get a natural and flattering wedding look.

For foundation I️ highly recommend Urban Decay AllNighter foundation! They have a large range of shades, it’s full coverage and really does stay on “all night” lol. I️ am a makeup artist and use that on the majority of my clients! It’s around $42 but if you ask for a sample at Sephora or Ulta it’s more than enough for 1-3 applications. Also to set your makeup I️ recommend Coty Airspun translucent extra coverage powder. It’s amazing and only $7 at Walmart or Walgreens.
