No fake lashes or extensions here! Don’t get extensions for the first time before your wedding- if your are allergic you will look and feel miserable. It’s not worth the risk. Extensions over time also wreck your lashes- is know as me and my straight, short, blonde natural lashes was an extension addict for years before they became so fried I couldn’t do them anymore.
if you have time, check out Grandelash MD serum. I started using it after my lashes were left bald, flaky, and patchy post extensions out of desperation. I’m a PhD in biomedical research and don’t believe in 99% of supplements, but this stuff actually grew my lashes and grew them longer than I’d ever had them before in about 7 weeks. It was crazy! Checked the ingredients and the serum use some isoprostaglandins which is the active drug in latisse, hence the success. Pair that with a lash lift and tint, and I have a look that rivals my extensions but they’re mine all mine!
Not a pro pic, but selfie after my makeup trial.

Another recommendation for extensions, and if not lash lift and tint. Just try them in advance in case you react badly and find someone reputable. I get extensions regularly and they last weeks and I find them super easy to maintain, I don’t really do anything honestly, just try to avoid rubbing my eyes. Swimming with them should be fine.

I second the recommendations for a lash lift and a tint. It is around 70 dollars where I live, plus then your lashes will be nice for your honeymoon as well

Thanks everyone – all your pictures look so great!
Thanks so much! Your makeup is exactly what I’m trying to go for – I need to practice a bit more though haha!
How long did it take to see results from the serum? I think I will try it after the wedding (it’s only a few weeks away and I am worried about an allergic reaction).
I think I am going to go for a lash lift and tint and no false lashes. I honestly think my fiance will be relieved – he doesn’t like too much makeup anyway. I am definitely relieved at the idea of not having to worry about the false lashes on the day of.

I didn’t wear falsies or false hair or any of that jazz. I wanted to look like myself 🙂

I did my own makeup with a little help from my bridesmaid and skipped the false lashes. I liked a fresh and natural look. This was 10 years ago and makeup has become a lot more sophisticated since then!
