hello! I am in the same boat!!! but here’s a bit of the research I’ve come up with…

this link helped a little – for more contemporary songs:

http://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-songs

we are having my matron of honor sing during the ceremony and her song will be “Feels Like Home” by CHANTAL KREVIAZUK.

but since my husband wants the ceremony to have the absolute most traditional wedding songs – I found a CD i am awaiting from amazon called “Bride’s Guide to Wedding music” – google it and you can find a list of classical songs to re-google and listen to the songs.

for example we will be using “Canon in D” for the bridesmaids / groomsman processional.

and of course the “Bridal Chorus” (here comes the bride) for my entrance.

and the “Midsummer Night’s Dream, incidental music, Op. 61~Wedding March” for when we leave / go to the reception.

and i’m sure i’ll find something nice from that cd for the filler music (seating of parents, etc…).

one thing I’ve also done – I use our public library quite often and so i went online and put in “wedding songs” and came up with a bunch of different CD’s I’ve put on hold that I will pick up this week.

good luck!

We are having a harpist and flutist perform for our ceremony.

The prelude and postlude music, we are leaving up to them. The rest is as follows:

  • Canon in D for Wedding Party

  • Hymne by Vangelis for me

  • Beauty and the Beast for the Unity Candle and the signing of the license

  • Gone with the Wind for the Recessional
