What did you do bee’s?
I am currently contemplating if i should do gel names, or shellac or just polish!
I have decided that I am going to do a pretty neutral color, but with some flash! A nude with some sparkle, maybe?!
Lets see or hear what you did!

For my shower I had a french gel mani – I kept the white tips super short (just the normal whites for my nails). They looked really pretty! I’ll probably do something like that for the wedding, too.

I’m thinking of doing blush pink to match my colors, plus my nails are always pink! I know its a big bridal faux pas according to David Tutera, but I’m going to rock them! I think I will do gel since it lasts longer.

I’m for sure doing gel mani and pedi. That way I can get them done a few days in advance and not have to worry about anything chipping before photos. Probably going with a nude or blush shade. I’m getting nails done this weekend at a place I may go to for the wedding as well so I’m going to check their selection. 🙂

I had a french manicure. I did it myself a couple of days before the wedding. I got married so long ago that this type of manicure was pretty much “the” wedding-day manicure. And there weren’t nearly as many choices back then for colors or brands of polish. I have a couple of colors in my nail polish hoard now that I wear and think, “I wish this color had been around when I got married!”

I would highly recommend gel or shellac polish so that you don’t have to deal with any chips in your nails the day of!
For my bridal shower I tested out a soft petal pink colour with a little bit of silver ombre sparkles starting at my cuticle, which matches our wedding colours. I had my last dress fitting the day before the shower which was a blessing in disguise.. the colour/sparkle combo looks awesome with my dress. Without seeing the manicure with the dress I’d have written it off as too “blingy”!

This was the top thread on the boards page when I clicked it and it is totally on topic for me! Tomorrow at noon I am getting my wedding nails done 😀 I used to get CND gel overlays (sometimes with extensions, will be needed tomorrow for sure) and a CND gel extension overlay in a simple french manicure style is what I’m getting tomorrow 🙂 It makes your hands look timeless, beautiful, clean and well put together I think. It doesn’t chip like polish either. Like other people are saying I recommend getting gels or some kind of shellac done for your big day. I always knew I would, there’s nothing better or more reliable.
