So I’m getting married on Saturday (waah) and I had my nails done yesterday. When I went there, I had in mind that I wanted this pattern on a soft pink background:
Then when I discussed it with the nail girl I was saying how our colours are navy, white and pink, and she said she thought I should have navy nails. We talked about it, and she showed me the navy that they had in shellac, and I did really like it. So I thought having that white design on navy would also look really nice, and it would be a bit different. Because most people seem to have either French or pink nails, and I want to be a bit different, without being completely non-traditional.
So we painted my nails in this navy shade, which I do really like:
But then when it came to painting on the design, it turned out that the pen that she was planning on using didn’t work! And they didn’t have any others. So she had a look all over the salon, but came up empty. The only thing she could find were some flower stickers, that we ended up sticking on the thumb and ring finger of each hand:
So I came out with something completely different from what I wanted! But I do like it. I just feel like because it wasn’t at all what I was imagining, I’m a bit nervous that it was the wrong decision.
I was therefore hoping for some reassurance from you bees that it wasn’t and tell me that they look nice 🙂 I’m wearing a white dress, no bling and only a few lace appliques, a thin light pink satin ribbon around my waist, no veil or other hair piece, and matching earrings and bracelet which are clear and dark blue stones. So the nails can be a bit more “out there” because the rest of my accessories are pretty minimal.
Please, if you don’t like my nails, I don’t need to know. I know that they won’t be to everyone’s taste, and I accept that, but I would appreciate if you wouldn’t tell me, because I’m only two days away from my wedding and I don’t have any way of changing them now! 🙂
