I know I am still 6 months and a week or so out from my wedding but I have been trying to think of what to do with my nails and toenails for my wedding day since I want my hands to look just as beautiful as me and also my feet too since I will be wearing peep-toe shoes. I don’t like false nails and every time I do gel nails the people don’t fill in all the nails correctly and it ends up looking like crap the following day. Do any of you bees have any good suggestions for nails or nails that you had on your wedding day? Any and all input would be great! Thanks!
I am going with a soft wedding color scheme of navy blue, olive, peaches/pinks, and ivory so not sure what kind of nails would look great with this color scheme!

What kind of shoes are you wearing?
Personally, I’m going to wear my nails red. I think it is classy, chic, and passes the test of time.
I don’t think the nails need to match the color scheme of the wedding, but if you want them to, how about coral?

@lovelylight99: My abhor acrylic nails. I used to wear them and it took almost 9 months for all my nail layers to grow back.
I used Kiss press on nails in the short lenght with the french tip. They are like $4 at Walmart.
My wedding colors were Marine Blue and Ivory btw!

I’m very excited about my wedding nail plan. It involves moisturizing, trimming, and buffing them. 🙂 NATURAL FRENCH MANICURE FTW!

@bebero: I am wearing these delicate looking navy blue Badgley Mischka heels. That is true, I don’t think everything needs to be matched! LOL 🙂 I was thinking of a soft pink color where my nails look more natural. I just don’t want to hassle with taking the acrylics off after the wedding is over. 🙂

I went with a french manicure for my hands and feet. I had acrylic put on but shellac works really well if you want them to be “filled” all the way.

I had gel polish put over my natural nails, french manicures style. It lasted a good two weeks. I loved it!

I’m a big fan of OPI’s Mod About you. Another similar color is Esse’s Figi. I think both of these match what you’re going for
Here is Mod About You for reference:

@lovelylight99: I hate acrylics as well, but I bite my nails so I knew I had to do something. I did quite a few hours of research on options and finally came across Kiss press on nails from Wal-Mart. I absolutely LOVED them! I got both finger and toe nails, and only once all weekend I had to glue them back on, and it was only one nail. It was as easy as putting glue on the nail, pressing down on my real nail for 5 seconds, and voila! I should also mention I was pulling my dress out of the bag and the nail got caught in some stuff, and that’s why it happened.
anyway, 5.99 a box and I spent an extra $1.50 on an extra package of glue. They lasted all weekend and after 5 days I was done and popped them off, no nail damage!! I’ll definitely be using them again.
I used the Kiss press on French really short version 🙂
