I picked mine up literally the day before the wedding.  It was kind of an afterthought since I don’t usually DO lingerie, but it was a hit.  I went with a white lacy bustier and panties, since I wore it under the dress to also help make the girls look better while I was IN the dress.

However, make sure if you’re planning to change that as much as you want the WOW factor, to ensure that it’s something you can easily get yourself into.  Kind of kills the buzz if he has to put you in it.

Ask him what he likes! My husband is hopeless… he loves sportswear (sports bra / spandex) far more than fancy lingerie. At least it’s practical and I get to wear it often when he buys it for me. I wouldn’t be able to tell you what he’d like, but visit Nordstrom if you have one near you. They have lovely European brands and can help you with sizing.

Two words… Victorias Secret. They have got the cutest stuff. In fact my fiance was pointing some stuff out to me from the catalogue today. You should check it out, http://www.victoriassecret.com. Also, my fiances fav is garter belts, they are super sexy!

My main advice though is, make sure its something you feel comfortable/sexy in, then no matter what you will definitely look it. Also, try on the lingerie, because you never know what it will look like until you do. I used to love the babydoll look, but it look terrible on my body.

And if you don;t mind me asking, I am just curious, you guys have never kissed? Is this a religious thing?

If he’s never seen you in lingerie, ANYTHING you pick will have his jaw drop–try lots of different stuff on and get what makes you feel the most confident–even if it’s just a lacy pushup bra w/matching panties. As for color, black always makes me feel hot, but white could work too–if it’s in your budget, consider a sexy short satin/silk robe too–nice way to teasingly prolong the surprise 😉

Whatever you feel sexy in!! If you feel sexy, he will think you are sexy! I would definitely go try some on though. If it were me, I would bring someone shopping with me just for fun, but really it’s up to you.

if you guys have not been more intimate than a quick hug, i am assuming you are not comfortable asking him what he likes.

you want to be comfortable in what you’re wearing, in my opinion. to me, corsets and bustiers are NOT comfortable, and thye are hard to put on and take off. I think you are on the right track with a babydoll.

Since it’s your wedding night, i would go with something white and maybe sheer. i wore a very cute ivory bra with ivory lace panties (they still have them at nordstrom, SO cute) and ivory thigh highs. he loved it and i was comfortable!

I bought it about 2 or 3 months before my wedding, just because i found something i loved.

Victoria Secret has some pretty cute bridal lingerie in right now… but since your wedding is in november. I got to say the christmas lingerie stock is the best they have through the entire year.. It usually starts arriving last two weeks of october into November because they want to make sure they have the stock in stores by the time they have their annual Victoria Secret fashion show which is always in november..

I would try on a variety of different types of lingerie and see what YOU are more comfortable in. Your husband will think you look AMAZING in anything you put on believe me!! especially since it will be your first night together his jaw will definitely be dropping! 🙂 have fun shopping!

In addition to picking something easy to put on you should probably pick out something easy to take off. I’m assuming he doesn’t have much experience with lingerie either and you don’t want him fumbling with a million straps and hooks to get it off of you. I agree that a baby doll or a lacy bra and panty set would be best for the first night. You can always get a few other things and experiment on your honeymoon!
