I am trying to decide what to wear under my dress on the big day!
I am a virgin bride and Fiance is a virgin groom, so we are by no means knowledgable and most lingerie is baffling to me. (I. e. “What in the world are all those straps for?” Go ahead, laugh it up.) Our wedding night, of course, is going to be mostly awkward trying-to-figure-it-out, so I don’t want to make things any more complicated. However, I do want to feel pretty and really take my husband’s breath away.
I definitely want to wear white – it’s both his and my favorite color. I’m debating between just wearing extra-nice bra & panties, or getting a simple slip to change into. I don’t think it would work to wear that under my dress all day, but really, what do I know?
^ Something like this anyway. More white and more formal probably.
^ In love with this, so I’d probably get this exact slip.
So show me yours, why you picked it, whether you’re changing or keeping it on all day, etc. And if you have any particular lingerie advice for an inexperienced bride, let me know. 🙂

I haven’t decide yet! But I would go with the one in your second picture…the first one is a little to casual 🙂

I haven’t gotten anything yet but I am really excited to shop for it!

I wore a white silk slip with beading on the bust; I think Darling Husband liked it because it was such a departure from what I normally wear, even though he’s not really a lingerie guy. I like the slip you posted! Just get something that’s comfortable for you–it doesn’t matter how much or how little it shows, because it probably won’t stay on you for very long anyway. ;P

Haven’t really decided yet, my personality is definitely on the wild, colorful, take his breathe away side soooo I’m definitely on the look out for that!

I wore white lacey panties from victoria’s secret that matched my new lace bustier. I wore both under my dress. I packed comfier options for the honeymoon, lol.

I was far from a virgin bride, but I was wearing a burgundy silk taffeta corset with gold contrast stitching and lace edging, a pair of black satin knickers with chiffon frills, a black 14-strap suspender belt and a pair of nude seamed stockings.

I just wore a simple, white, silk nighty. I wasn’t in it for long

I would change into whatever you plan on wearing after the wedding. Going into the bathroom or another room in the dress and coming back in what you plan on wearing. If you were to go for a bra/panty set I would wear a robe over it. I like the idea of a babydoll and your second pictures is great.

I’d just go for some cute new matching bra and panties. Simple and easy. The guy will be overwhelmed enough, I am sure! You don’t want to have to fumble with much I don’t think.

I don’t know but I am darn sure going to take advantage of the VS Semi Annual Sale in a week.

I have the slip in your second photo (wore it on my honeymoon) & Darling Husband loved it. It’s actually his favorite lingerie that I have. On our wedding night I kept it simple.. I wore all white lacey undies (a thong that said “bride” on it”), my garter, and I wore a white silk robe.

I haven’t even looked yet, but my dress is white, lingerie will probably be a dark red. since my dress is a trumpet with semi chapel train, it’ll be easy to let him unzip, then go into the bathroom and change. I’m definitely thinking sexy, bc all I wear now is babdolls and chemises. so I’m thinking more corset and heels.
I love your slip, and depending on your dress, you probably could wear it. but honestly I’d be concerned with sweating in it.

This is the one that I am getting! It is the Georgette Halter at Victoria’s Secret! I’m going to wear practical undergarmets, then change into this afterwards.
