Is anyone having wedding nightmares? i’ve been having these nonstop now, almost every night for about 2 weeks….my wedding is 5 weeks away. I am a ball of NERVES.
-I pick up my dress from the final fitting, but it is a crushed emerald green velour dress, a la Gone with the wind, and I freak out “it’s the wrong dress!!!”
– Its after the wedding ceremony and well into the reception when I realize that I forgot to get my hair and makeup done that morning, so Im feeling extremely disappointed and regretful, plus panicked that the makeup artist was probably waiting for me and I was a no show so now I have to lose out on the money.
– THe photographer is a NO SHOW, and am panicking ,wondering who can take pictures of us last minute from their cell phone cameras.
-My Fiance turns into one of my ex’s!!!!
-My Fiance puts the ring on my right hand finger, and I have to whisper to him, under my breath so the guests dont hear, “your putting it on the wrong hand!!” (This one was more funny than scary)
Anyone having bad nightmares too? Can you please share?????

All the time. You are not alone.
I have nightmares about the photographer and videographer not showing up, or leaving before they are supposed to, or not getting ANY good photos.
I have nightmares about my dress not fitting, or my makeup making me look like a clown, or all of my flowers wilting before the wedding.
It is totally out of my control – but I wish they would stop!

- Wedding: September 2013 - B&B
I had one last night about my flowers wilting!!! They looked awful. The bouquets were sparse, the colors were yellow and purple (pretty, NOT my colors though), and I was trying all kinds of cheapo crazy last minute things to make them look better the morning of my wedding.
The irony of it is… I am having ZERO flowers at the wedding!!!! The guys bouts will be made from peacock feathers (and shotgun shell casings LOL) and my girls and I are all carrying brooch bouqets. I even already have all the materials to make these things. And almost a year to make them!!!!!!!!!!
O_o So I have no clue WTH this nightmare came from.

My wedding is a year off and I still have nightmares every now and then. Can’t wait until they become a nightly happening! NOT!

@Sunnyday278: oh my gosh that is so funny, haha. I love the shotgun casings, haha.
@raspberry bride: thanks, I totally connected with what you said at the end, “I wish they would stop”
I haven’t had the wilting flower dreams yet, but I imagine those are pretty horrible!

- Wedding: June 2013 - Country Club
I had a dream that I couldn’t find a good white dress for my wedding gown (which I found one I like, but it’s close to $1000 and my whole budget is like $4k, so not really doable with my venue and food) so I had to buy a royal blue prom dress. It was awful.
And then another dream my Fiance and I had to stand in the aisle to get married because the officiant refused to move away from some random chair where the guests were sitting.. and no one could hear me when I said, “I do” so I had to yell “I DO!” really freaking loud lol

I am having them too, I also can’t sleep and wake up at 3am every night and can’t get back to sleep, my mind is completely a buzz with all the things I have to do, anxiety, etc. It’s horrible.

All the time.
It makes me crazy. I always wake up thinking they were true.

lol yup and I’m a year out but its probably due to the fact we don’t have a VENUE yet…….I’m having a heck of a time getting people to reply and be interested in the fact that I have money to throw at them haha. Once that is done I’ll be doing the happy dance for a week straight.

Oh, mine were ALL venue-related (dunno why, but apparently that was my biggest anxiety). Our venue was our favorite restaurant and we had the whole thing there. In my nightmares, the ceremony and reception were at different places, and those places were changed without my knowledge and/or their actual locations had moved geographically to other locations and/or everyone was going to the wrong places and/or I was at the wrong place and/or my mother decided without telling me to move all or part of it to her house (which is in another state but that didn’t stop the dream from pulling that in) and I couldn’t get there, or I went there and then no one else was there.
The dreams didn’t stop until I had a conversation with our officiant, who’s a beloved neighbor, who offered, after I told him some of my nightmares, to just marry Darling Husband and me in the backyard by ourselves if it came to that. Somehow that eased my crazy unconcious, and no more wedding nightmares. I guess he managed to remind me that the most important part isn’t dependent on all the factors that can go wrong.
However, in the spirit of the crazy unconsious, I have to say that the Scarlett curtain dress is pretty awesome! You could do worse!

Sure have and mine is still 9 months away! The funniest one was that I forgot everything: didn’t book a photographer, a hair or make up person, flowers, food. Nothing. All I had remembered to do was send invites. I didn even have a dress. So obsurd! Lol

I’ve had all sorts of elaborate wedding nightmares to the point where I can’t remember the details of them anymore.

@ProfessorGirl: haha, your right i suppose, i could do worse than that dress, it actually doesn’t look that bad, haha. who knows, maybe you have now helped my subconcious realize that even in the worst case scenario, I will make a fabulous incarnation of Scarlett O’Hara, lol.
Thanks to you (and your neighbor) that the most important thing that counts, is marrying my best friend, man of my dreams and buildling a lifetime of memories together.

I’m two weeks out from ours and I have been having nightmares every night too! It’s so ridiculous! I wake up and I’m like, WHY!?!?!? I’m hoping all the nightmare’s aren’t a pre-curser to something going amiss on the big day!!!!

I keep dreaming that I’ve been planning it all for the wrong day so I then ‘wake up’ to be told ‘it’s your wedding day!!’ and suddenly I’m rushing to the church with no make-up, no flowers and a badly fitting dress because I haven’t had any fittings!
