I am definitely a worrier over here. But I have yet to have a good wedding dream! Most of them are nightmares where either my bridesmaids are wearing all white and I am left in shorts and a tshirt, or the veue was not decorated, or my wedding party got ready without me and the latest, the hair and make up team never showed up and my fiance forgot the wedding rings at home! Anyone else have a bad wedding dream experience? and maybe how to deal with this? I guess I am afraid of being let down or disappointed by the ones who I feel are closest to me, and realizing that they aren’t as close as I thought they were. I also had to fire my Maid/Matron of Honor a few months ago so that was a friendship ender for sure.

haha yes!! Very close to my original wedding date (April) when I was tying up all my loose ends I had a dream I bleached my hair and it got super damaged and all broke off. I also dreamed I went to get my wedding dress and it was short and black. And then the dream that there was no food at my reception…
never thought I’d have the real life nightmare of not having my wedding! The worst one of them all!

I dreamt that I forgot to book a videographer and only remembered it on the wedding day itself when I was getting my hair and makeup done. It was a nightmare because photo and video are our biggest splurge and they are extremely important to us!

Glad I am not the only one!! My fiance looks at me like I am nuts when I tell him about my bad dreams lol! I am just such a planner and organized person I fear something will be forgotten!

Oh I totally did! We eloped last year which included flying to our destination. So I had dreams where I’d forget my dress and stuff like that!

Yep! I had tons of dreams about my then-fiance leaving me. Literally as soon as the wedding was over, I stopped having them. I was incredibly nervous about the wedding since I didn’t have a planner or anyone helping me, and I know that stress was the cause (I wasn’t actually worried about my then-fiance leaving). It’ll pass, Bee!

Yes, I used to have the WORST dreams where I’d be kissing my husband at our wedding, and he would morph into my abusive ex.
I had some thoughts to work through about regaining trust in myself and my decision making skills. The dreams didn’t suddenly go away, but they gradually got better–I would stand up for myself and tell the ex ‘that wasn’t funny, and I wasn’t going to marry him.’ And then he’d just be hanging out in the background at the ceremony, then just trying to get in to the ceremony. A slow fade, but I do think what I worked on mentally helped with my dreams lol.

It’s funny, because in real life I was THE most chill bride. But I would have SO many nightmares about completely stupid, over the top shit. Getting locked in a church attic while my ceremony started… forgetting my dress…forgetting food… the usual.
But my all time favourite nightmare was the one where I was flying off the handle, calling my decorator a “C U Next Tuesday” because she put out grey table linens instead of white.

I had near constant wedding nightmares in the months before the wedding! The only one I remember was actually shortly after our first date (so waaay before even getting engaged lol) I dreamt that we were getting married in 3 days even though I never agreed to it.

Haha yes! Also a worrier. We got married last year and I had multiple bad wedding dreams… some bridesmaids dropped out and some of my other friends subbed in, and I found out as I walked down the aisle. Our officiant was wearing a garish, vampire-like outfit. I ran late (true in real life) and missed hair and makeup and had to do it myself a minute before walking down the aisle, and that as I was about to walk down the aisle I noticed many wedding guests milling about and chatting outside the chapel- including my own mom!
Of course none of these things happened although we did have some other minor hiccups. At the end of the day though I think the marriage (and not the wedding) is what matters most 🙂
Sorry to hear about Maid/Matron of Honor :/ Don’t have much advice except (from one worrier to another) “don’t worry” lol. And after it is all over, these nightmares seem kinda funny in hindsight!

- Wedding: February 2018 - UK
Yep, I had loads of nightmares beforehand!
I dreamt that I was out shopping and suddenly realised the wedding was in an hour, and I had no transport. I dreamt my stepdad refused to walk down the aisle with me at the last minute. I dreamt I discovered after the ceremony that my dress was on inside out. I dreamt I lost my husband somewhere in the grounds of the venue.
They got increasingly bizarre the closer to the date!

totally just had a dream where I realized day of the wedding with guest showing up I forgot to plan a reception lol.

Yes absolutely, I dreamt I forgot to plan a reception day of. I also dreamed that I forgot to book an officiant or confirm my dress fit so I was gonna have to wear a borrowed dress from a friend. Oh also forgot the wedding license in same dream 😂 it was an awful dream. I was so panicked lol. I have had a few like that. Wedding is August 30th (hopefully corona virus permits) I am sure this is normal. It’s a big day

LOL. I had a dream a week before our wedding that I broke a fingernail whilst getting ready, and ran around crying and screaming that everything was ruined and I couldn’t get married anymore. It was totally ridiculous, plus in real life I don’t even bother doing my nails.
I also remember a wedding related dream when I was engaged to my ex-Fi. I dreamed that the vicar who was to marry us (a lovely person) suddenly started behaving oddly during the ceremony and then turned into the devil. It sounds silly but it was genuinely disturbing at the time.
