@Gem413:  My mom’s uncle got a liscense or whatever online somehow to marry a family member. I think it was pretty cheap and easy 🙂

It depends on where you are.

Some states will only allow ex judges to do it. Some will only allow ministers, priests, etc etc.

Check with your state to see what the requirements are.

Keep in mind that you may not want to pay money for an officiant for 30 minutes, but your friend will have to pay for classes/assessments and/or spend days of their lives doing it.

You’re not going to end up saving money, especially if you pay the bill for your friend to become an officiant.
