Hi! Unfortunately I can’t be much help because we are using a relative to officiate for us, but I just wanted to say that we are date twins and I’m getting married at Taughannock Falls 🙂 so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you (and me) to have good weather!

I’m so sorry, I should have been clearer: my fiance’s uncle is a pastor, so it worked out for us. I am just being unhelpful left and right! Embarassed

Where are you getting married? I am getting married the weekend before in Watkins Glen by Judge Nicholas Dugo. He is a nice man and his wife is lovely. I believe he can perform mariages outside of Schulyer County.

@TiffRae910: I am also getting marrid near Ithaca, NY and want a friend to officiate.  I know how he can get ordained, but I am hoping with all of my heart that the county will consider it legal.  If they don’t allow it, then my Fiance and I will get married at the court house the day before.  We are dead set on him “officiating” our ceremony, even if it means we have to do the legal marriage the day before.

@ellee:  I am also getting married at Taughannock Falls, but August 16, 2013….eep, can hardly wait!  Where is your Reception?  How many guests?  How many in the bridal party?  I am a little concerned about fitting 100 guests on those steps.  I know it will all work out in the end though!

@BecomingMrsBolyard:  We are doing both the ceremony and reception right at North Point Pavilion (tent reception). We toyed around with having the ceremony by the falls (SO gorgeous) but we have 100 guests too and weren’t sure it would work! Our bridal party is small – 2 standing up for each of us – so that could have worked out alright. We’re going to utilize the treated benches that come with the pavilion and set up (weather permitting) by the water. Congratulations and I hope your plans all work out perfectly!
