I am doing the same thing! Also a great place to look is Tuesday Morning. They have great deals for glass jars and various things that can be used for centerpieces.

Great web site. I am also staying tight on my budget and I have been buying vases and other decor from city missions, catholic charities and good will. There are some reallly amazing buys in these places I have been shocking myself, haha. I knwo some people can imagime going here to shop but you have to put it into perspective. Do they have what you need? Is it an amazing price? Will anyone know you bought it there?…unless you tell them.

I have no shame in saving money so I encourage all brides to just go take a look, you never know what you might stumble accross.

I saw a post about this on the boards earlier. A wedding dress for $39 at goodwill. I looked around and there’s some awesome stuff on there!

I love the goodwill! I go to several different ones in my area…I tend to find better stuff at the goodwills that are located in more affluent areas. I also love DAV (Disabled American Veterans) thrift stores. They have tons of amazing stuff! And I’ve noticed their books are cheaper than goodwill (I’m collecting vintage books for my centerpieces).

There’s five different Goodwills alone in my area and I go to them each week to get milk glass for my centerpieces. I usually can find 2-3 good pieces in each store and the most I’ve paid for any piece so far is $12.50 (for a very large vase) and I generally only spend about $1-$2 a piece. Goodwill is THE BEST for stuff like this!

Definitely didn’t know Goodwill had an online shop. Thanks for the tip!
