Is it “too much” to have your Save the Dates, Invitations, Programs and Thank You’s to all match/have the same pattern? I bought my Save the Date on Etsy, my fiance and I fell in love with it! I have considered using the same pattern for all of the paper items, but part of me feels like it’s just too much…

@rissalara: I prefer when they all match. It shows planning on your part. If possible, our Save-The-Date Cards and Invitations will match.

@asscherlover: Thank you! I think so too 🙂 I just didn’t know if it was too “overwhelming” maybe?? I tried uploading a picture, but its a pdf and I’m not very computer or WeddingBee literate 🙂

I like the consistency of matching.

I personally prefer for the save the date to coordinate, but not match the wedding invitation. Otherwise it seems underwhelming when the wedding invitation comes. They will look exactly alike, but with different wording.

Our STD didn’t match but that’s okay cuz I had an Etsy seller write our names in the sand along with our wedding date and location (Jamaica) and we used that picture as our postcard STD. I then came up with a few lines about how we wrote our names in the sand but the waves washed them away….. And i incorporated that on our invites. our invites, replies and our menu cards I had done all matched and I even took it one step further and made sure to use the same script font wherever I could. The font was called blackjack and I used that on our favor tags, the thank you notes, our address stamp… Everything that I could use that font on I did. I even used zazzle for a customized postage stamp with the same font!! I might have went a little overboard but oh well.

I plan to have them all match. The Save the Date will focus on an engagement photo, while the invitation will focus on the font and wording. I’m excited to customize a set and coordinate everything. 🙂
