I don’t quite get what you are asking OP – are you thinking  silver and gold bm dresses  won’t go with your ‘all the way blinged ‘ dress?  Or that navy  blue  won’t?  And where/what will the silver and gold be that  you fear being overshadowed?.

Prehaps post a pic of your dress ?

I think navy dresses will be easiest for everyone. The rest of your decor can still be metallic with some navy accents, and that will be the bulk of your vision anyway. Bridesmaids dresses aren’t necessarily the predominant color anyway. This is sort of the reverse of your situation, but I wore a gold dress for my friend’s wedding and that was her accent color – the main ones were blush and navy. And having worn a gold bridesmaid dress… navy will be cheaper and more comfortable.

Bee – I feel you!!

My primary wedding color was gold, with accents of ivory/pearl, burgundy, and greenery.  I was dead set on gold dresses.  Looking back, I wish I would have just chosen a burgundy color from one retailer (ex: David’s Bridal) and told my girls to get a dress that color.

I love the way everything turned out for me, but boy – it was VERY tough to find a gold dress that suited multiple body shapes and didnt cost a fortune. The other thing, for me, was that I didnt want my girls in head to toe sequins. I thought it was a little too trendy and I also wanted a dress that mimicked mine (embellished top and satin/mikado bottom).

My dresses were from Christina Wu. If you find a store that sells her dresses, she has TONS of color swatches for all the dresses and I am sure you could figure out a gold or silver option.

Last thing before the pics – all the girls were uncomfortable because of the sequins by the end of the night.

We are doing navy with rose gold and all the girls will be in navy, as will the guys. We did find some amazing rose gold ties for the guys, DM me and I’ll send you the link if you want some metallic ties. It’s just easier for everyone to wear. No way was I going to put my girls in rose gold, it’s too difficult of a color to wear, it’s hard to find dresses that everyone will fit in and that aren’t fully sequinsed.

My suggestion is to go with navy dresses. They are classic and will always look good! Plus pops of metallic go a long way and look better IMO than a fully metallic dress
