- Wedding: July 2012
I have a Flower Girl, Maid/Matron of Honor, Groomswoman, Groomsman and Bridesmaid or Best Man (also FOG) in the wedding party.
Right now for the ladies I am getting a quilted tote bag with their name embroidered on it ($35.95 each). We are opting to get the 5 year old flower girl a big girl bag because I don’t see why she wouldn’t use it for sleepovers and things now and I want her to be able to use it later.
We are also getting a wristlet embroidered with the first initial to keep phone, camera, lipstick, etc. in for the Maid/Matron of Honor and the groomswoman. These are $18.95 each. I’m not planning on getting one for the Flower Girl at this point although Fiance really disagrees with this thinking we should get the same for everyone and she’ll use it later.
I also have two Tiffany’s small heart necklaces that retail at $90 each although they were free to me so I don’t really consider that an expense. These are for the flower girl and Maid/Matron of Honor. Should I get additional gifts for them? I was thinking maybe sandals or flip flops to wear at the wedding or maybe a flask for bridesmaids engraved with their name (obviously not for the FG) or a small jewelry box? I tried to avoid anything with initials engraved into it for the girls because my Maid/Matron of Honor doesn’t have a middle initial and I think it looks weird. I also feel a little weird about not having more for the groomswoman because she’s not getting one of the Tiffany necklaces so I have to think a little about that.
Also, did you give out gifts to the parents at the rehearsal dinner? I really like the idea of picture frames engraved with a picture in it but I think maybe that would be a better gift after the wedding and you can put a picture in it.
Edit: Also, I’m concerned about getting the Flower Girl something she would like now. But my Fiance doesn’t like the idea of getting something specifically for a little girl (she’s 5).
