A seashell would be neat as long as it went with the rest of the wedding. Also, I have seen people use books (usually the bible) with the ring tied on with a ribbon, or even a small pretty box. Just keep in mind, a five year old is going to carry it so make sure you use something that the ring can be securely fastened to. I have actually never been to a wedding (that I remember) where the ring bearer actually carried anything; usually these days the Bridesmaid or Best Man and Maid/Matron of Honor hold the rings.

I got nothing on the gifts, I’m terrible with that stuff and I’m getting my BMs jewelry lol. Good luck!

I got my bridesmaids the jewelry they wore for the wedding and each of them a beauty kit with lotions and chapstick and such. I got my Flower Girl a purse that matched the dress we got her and filled it with the jewelry she wore for the ceremony, a hair band lipstick, a little mirror and nail polish. For the ring bearers I got them both matching hats, a bucket filled with cars, coloring things, squishy toys, bubbles and other small things they could play with so they wouldn’t get bored at the reception.

One of my RB’s carried a birds nest with 2 fake birds in it (sadly no one got a photo of it) and my other Ring Bearer (my son) carried a wreath with our rings tied to it so they could hang in the center.
