@canuckbee:  Currently I don’t know of any pro company that sells to the general public.  Your best bet is to work with your photographer.  There are a few consumer labs out there that offer album choices, but they are not going to be the same quality as a professional flush mount album that is hand bound.

The only companies I know only work with pros. Ask your photographer; he or she probably has several different products to offer.

I know you don’t want to hear this, but to get an album like that you have to work through a professional photographer.  The markup isn’t as high as you think on the album itself, most of the extras fee is for the design and layout time.

@kelseymadeline:  it’s still printed on cardstock, not photograph paper.  The book looks a bit fancier with a better binding, and layflat pages, but the cardstock is hard to get past for the pricetag IMO.

How much is your photog charging? The layflat with the thick thick pages cost photographers hundreds so it may still end up pricey, if you do find one that will sell to consumers. If you are looking to save money, you may want to stick with mpix or adorama for a regular book.

@canuckbee: I made a beautiful flush mount with MyPhotoCreations. I actually made lots of wedding photo books for myself and family, with MyPublisher, Blurb, Mpix and AdoramaPix.

I write a blog on photo books which I started about a year ago after doing a lot of my own wedding photo books.  You’ll find my reviews and lots of photos and tips about DIY photo books on my site.  There’s nothing wrong with DIY – and you can get a beautiful album laid out exactly the way you want it! Best of luck with your book!  Also @kelseymadeline, thanks for your comment about my site – hope you found my review helpful!
