We used The Image is Found http://www.theimageisfound.com out of Oceanside.  Nate & Jaclyn are great to work with and are tres creative!!!  Not sure if they are in your budget, but they come up with some great images.  Less traditional more edgy.  Check out their blog too: http://www.theblogisfound.com

Good luck!

Hi! I am planning an SD wedding too! We had wonderful photographers for our engagement pictures, but we had to drastically cut our budget so $4000 on photography was out of the question. If that is in your budget, then i HIGHLY suggest Aquario Studio.

Aquario Studio home page: http://www.aquariostudio.com

Aquario Studio recent pictures taken: http://www.aquariostudio.net <– Here you can click on any of the couples (Engagement photos are at the very bottom) and enter in your email address and see all of the pictures.

 They are phenomenal.

We decided on a man named Paul for our wedding. He is really good too and cheaper. We got a really large package with him for $2700. I am so happy with our decision. I know he is going to be great. If we had more money, I definitely would have gone with Aquario Studio though. 🙂

Here is his webpage: http://www.photobypault.com

Heard about them from a friend but I’ve never met or worked with them (I don’t live in Southern Cal). They have fabulous pics on their site and blog though. Their website says packages start at $2000.

@emel – Isn’t that insane… gosh $10,000… that is just a waste. Since you are on a budget, I would definitely check out Paul. He really does a great job. We got one of the biggest packages he had for $2700. He has plenty of packages under $2000 AND you get rull copyright rights to all of the images on a DVD. He is SO nice and SO accomadating. My Future Sister-In-Law used him for her wedding and he was great, so that is why we are going to use him. 🙂

P.S. Good luck with the whole process. It definitely can be stressful choosing the perfect photographer. Just know that your wedding will be great no matter what! 🙂
