I recommended George Street Photography (national agency) and Carl Elixir Photography to someone the other day.

George Street Photography

With George Street, you won’t know which photographer is available for your wedding date until your free consultation. The agent will show you a portfolio of all of the photographers who are available to shoot your wedding. You get to pick the photographer you like best. The prices are pretty good. Keep in mind may have to cover travel fees and lodging.

~ $450 for engagement session, bridal portrait, or boudoir session

~ $1,700 for 1 photographer, 8 hrs.

~ $2,000 for 1 videographer, 8 hrs

~ $2,600 for 2 photographers; 1st photographer for 8 hrs, 2nd photographer for 6 hrs. You also get a free keepsake album

~ $4,000 for videographer (8 hrs); 2 photographers (1 for 8 hrs, 1 for 6 hrs)

Carl Elixir Photography

~ $400 – $500 for 2-3 hour engagement session

~ $1,000 for 4 hour photography (1 photographer)

~ $1,500 for 6 hour photography (1 photographer)

~ $2,000 for 8 hour photography (1 photographer)

~ $3,300 for 8 hour photography (2 photographers)

I’m still on the hunt for a photographer. Carl Elixir was unavailable for my wedding date and I have a free consultation with George Street this week, so we’ll see what happens.

Here are some other photographers that I liked, but I haven’t had a consultation with them yet.

Capture Photography $2,100 +

Chris Zarconi $2,750 +

Daniel Min Photography ???

Paired Images $3,100 – $6,200

Tamara Pizzeck Photography $2,800 – $4,200 (each package includes 2 photographers, engagement session, & 1 album)

Vness Photography $2,200 (7 hours) – $3,600 (all packages come with 2 photographers)

Hope all of this helps! It all depends on what you are looking for in a photographer. I generally like photos with lots of color and I like photographers with a photojournalistic style.

Good luck with your search!

I am using Mike B Photography, Mike Busada, $3500 with an e session, 2 all day photographers (Mike B + Asst.) all rights to photos on an USB stick.  He has been easy to work with and does classic and photojournalistic styles.  (Annapolis, MD) You can add albums later if you want to or print them out yourself.

Maria Linz Photography does everything a la carte so you can make your own package up.  She has a photojournalistic style. You could prob put together a package for your price range. (Baltimore, MD)

Both travel the entire East Coast.

We loved Bayline studios/Ribbie McLean. He was great to work with and super reasonable. He does a lot of photoshop-type effects which wasn’t really our thing, but we just told him that and he didn’t do any. The regular pictures he took were great. Also he was cool to hang out with, which is nice.

go to the knot.com, or google washington dc engagement sessions. Look at the images, see what appeals to you. Also, you can post your request and budget on fearless.com
