So right now I’m researching wedding videography. There’s one in our area that I absolutely love but they are double our budget. I found one that is within our price range and I like that he uses excellent video equipment including a harness steady cam thing. His shots are very smooth (the camera mounts to his chest instead of being held or on a tripod) and his editing skills look good. The only thing I’ve noticed that makes me question putting down a deposit is that he always manages to catch the wedding photographer in the video shot while filming the ceremony. I don’t know if this is a unique problem because of the body harness or a skill level thing, or if it’s just normal and I’m being irrational. But when I look back and watch my wedding video I don’t want to keep seeing the wedding photographer (as lovely as she is and as much as I like her) in every shot). Am I being too type A? Is this normal? Is this videographer just no good?
