1500 is actually pretty cheap for wedding photography. The big name photographers around here start at about 4000 with out including any digital files. If you print the photos yourself make sure to have them printed at a quality printer (thats why its best for your photographer to print them because they should have them printed at a lab that does top quality work).

@KingsDaughter:  Actually, both prices are extremely good.  All the top quality photographers in my area are around $4k, and that’s just the starting base package price.  Most that cost less are not of the same quality.  We are having ours done for around $2300 and I am very happy with what’s included in that price so I’d say pick one quick before you lose out on those great prices for your date!

Either one is a smoking deal. I am paying $6K for unlimited hours, photo rights, and an album. Photography alone would be $3500 with no rights to the pictures.

Wow what a great deal, ours is $3500 for 6 hours and all the rights.

The first seems to be the best deal! I’m paying 1400 for 6 hrs with 2 photographers and a DVD of all the images.

Both of those look pretty good to me. We paid right around $4000 for ours with 9 hours of coverage with two photographers. We got about 1100 completely edited, album worthy photos back, 20 pg album, online gallery for sharing photos with family, rights to all photos with CD with all photos, a DVD slideshow, a photo guestbook with engagement photos, an engagement session with 130-ish edited photos, CD with all the high res files for the engagement shoot + an album for that, and a proof book album with all the wedding photos in it, and print credits. I’m sure I’m forgetting something too. But we wanted all those “extras” which put our price higher. Without all of the extras, just with 8 hours with one photographer + the high res files, it was $1500 with our same photographer I believe.

I agree with PPs, both are a great deal! I haven’t booked yet, but a lot of the photographers I’m looking at start at $1800 for the most basic package, no second shooter, half day, etc.

WOW! Both sound like incredibly good deals to me! I am paying $2,000 which included a 1.5hr engagement session, all images on disk of wedding and engagement and a coffee table album. This was one of the cheapest quality photographers I could find in my area and is only for 10 hours I believe!

I think those both sound reasonable. Maybe meet with both and pick the one that you click with the best?

I’m paying $800 for all day with 1 photog and printing rights to photos that I can download from her website. We didn’t want an engagement session.

I think the first photographer looks like an awesome deal!!  But both of them seem really talented, good choice either way!  We are paying about 1700 for ours!

I can’t pick which one I like better based on only those pictures.  But $1500-$1800 is pretty inexpensive from what I have seen so I don’t think you are over paying in the least.  As long as you love their pictures it sounds like a great deal. I’m paying $3100 for 9 hours, 2 photogs, all photos (edited) on disc, e-session.

We are paying $2500 for an e-session, 9 hours of photography (2 photographers for each ‘session’) and a $100 credit towards our book, all photos (both e-session and wedding) are provided to us on a disc, all are edited

Go with whichever one you think takes the best photos. The price difference is so minimal, and they offer pretty much the same thing. I know one is unlimited edited photos, but really, you could probably do a good job yourself with editing, and 150 is a LOT to have edited in the first place.

I agree with everyone else. Great deal! I’m paying $1350 for 6 hours, one photographer, all digital copies, unlimited (I’m assuming) edited pictures, and the 1 hour engagement shoot. I got $150 off because I am a repeat customer. I feel like I am getting this for CHEEEEAP! Everything else I have seen starts at at least 3K, and forget it if you think you’re going to get an album or prints. I think the amount photographers charge for prints and albums is just OBSURD!
