We are paying about $4,000 for 10 hours of coverage, all photos on disc, an album, 2 parent albums, unlimited locations, a handful of professionally edited enlargements, online viewing gallery…umm, I think there are other things and I can’t remember them!  Hope that helps!

We’re paying $1100 for six hours of coverage and the digital files of the photos. Photography costs definitely vary by location, I’m in a relatively low(ish) cost of living area.

We’re eloping but I still wanted a photographer.  The main photographer has a minimum of 3 hours for $1000 which was a ridiculous amount of time to take pictures of the 2 of us so I hired one of his associates for 2 hours for $500.  The associates are much cheaper.  This is northern VA outside of DC.   We will get all of the photos on a CD.

We are paying $1200 for “unlimited” day-of wedding coverage. We get the rights to all the digital negatives, a second shooter, and an engagement session. We found a photographer that was just out of photography school whose work we loved. Best wedding decision yet — she’s fantastic!

We paid $1800(AUD) for 8 hours of coverage, which ended up being 9 hours as he stayed on an extra hour for us at no extra charge.

We get all photos on a disc, 200 prints, 8 enlargements, an engagement shoot and he provided us with a photo guest book too ( with pics from the e-shoot).

This is pretty average price for our area ๐Ÿ™‚

We are paying $2000 for unlimited day-of coverage with two photographers. They also include an engagement photo session and all of their edited photos are delivered to us on a flash drive. Plus we get a waiver for the rights of the digital images, so we can have them printed where ever we want.

They seemed to be about average on price and we really hit it off with them when we met in person. It always seems better to me when they’re not trying to make a profit off of selling prints.

I just broke down, 4 weeks until the wedding and got a photographer that was recommended by a co-worker.  I didn’t want to spend my day posiing for silly pictures for every single move I make.  However, she leans more towards the candid, and I thought about having all the family together and not having pictures.  So, she will arrive just as I am about to get dressed and stay through the party (afternoon ceremony/party)  $1500

We got a great deal on Groupon. For $600 we got all day coverage including second shooter, unlimited locations, and engagement pictures. We paid $250 to have the DVD of hi-res images. I feel like we are practically robbing our photog for everything we are getting, so we are also ordering our Save-The-Date Cards through her and I’m pushing to also have her do our (expensive) album, but the jury is still out on that one…

This topic comes up every 3-4 days it seems like.  You will get answers ranging from $500-5000.  I don’t see how it’s helpful to anyone.

For our intimate, 10 person wedding ceremony in San Antonio TX, we are being charged $425 for 2 hours of photography.  It was perfect for us.  She touches them up and everything :)))

@Mrs081223:  Around $2000 for two photographers for 8 hours, plus a photo album, an engagement session, the digital images, etc. Seems like a lot compared to some of the other ladies but maybe it’s just because of where we live.

We went super low budget because thats what we have.  The guy is doing 8 hours with a second shooter.  His previous work is pretty good so I am not worried and hes willing to work with us on what we want.  If he does a good job I will totally recommend him to  others!
