I would love to see what the photography looks like with weddings that do not have a bridal party or anything.
Just curious, and would love to know some key shots to have when I don’t have bridal party photo’s.

We did a lot of pictures with the two of us together. I won’t bore you with a bunch of pictures, my avatar is one of them.

@Mrs.Sunflower: Nothing to share here. Just wanted to say I think it’s awesome that you’re choosing not to have a bridal party and I am sadly wishing I had done the same. Good for you!

Haha thanks! It certainly is making things less stressful for sure. All I have is a ring bearer who thinks he needs to dress up as a bear. =]

I think its awesome your not having a bridal party. I really wish I would have done this some days. I unfortunately dont have anything to share… but I do love the idea.

DH and I took a fair amount of shots without the bridal party, and my best advice is that if something about any particular location immediately stands out to you, take a picture there. Even if it’s just something like “that’s some really interesting graffiti on that wall” or “that tree has a pretty cool shape”, if it catches your eye, go for it. You’ll end up with some really unique photos.
One of our favorite shots from the day came about because of my obsession with spiral staircases. Our venue had one, so we snuck out during cocktail hour and had our photogs snap this:

well i had a bridal party but also got a TON of amazing shots without them! we went all over our resort taking pics. Even during the ceremony, our photog got some shots without the Bridal Party in it. i also have a couple of staircase photos like linguo42
mentioned. here are some of my faves:
i loved all our walking, holding hands, from behind shots that we got. here is one:
i like the effect of one of us standing up close with the other a little blurry in the background – you can swtich positions for this one:
here is a “running shot” that turned out cool:
here, i like how our photog got on the ground and under us for this one:
this was me walking down the stairs to him for our first look photos
