We have 5 picture frames where putting up in our apartment foyer/hallway. My intention was to put photos of the fun things we’ve done over the years but DH wanted to put in a few wedding photos. Well, now we have a dilemma. The wedding photos look amazing in the frames and will look awesome of the walls…but its our wedding photos and I don’t want it to look like a shrine or something. The “fun” photos are alright but lack the cohesiveness that the wedding photos have (Like some are really dark, some are bright, one is Christmasy, etc.)
So what should we do? Wedding photos or “fun” photos? I guess we could try a mixture but since its only 5 photos, they might look random. I don’t really want to put any generic prints in them.
(we don’t have a single photo of DH and I in our house because DH thought it was bizarre to put your own photos in your house. He’s changed his mind since then so that’s why he’s pushing for our wedding photos to be displayed).

i would do a variety of photos, wedding and fun photos. What you coud do is Edit all the pictures to say black and white so it all looks cohesive. I’ve seen at a friends house they put up all their wedding pics on one wall and it seemed a little narcissistic to me.

@lightmist: that was my worry too but now DH is all excited about showing people our 2 year old wedding photos. I don’t understand him half the time.
maybe ill try black and white. good idea!

What about 4 fun and 1 wedding? Then they’re random regardless but you still get a pretty wedding pic in there.

Try making them all black and white. That helps them look more cohesive when they’re different subjects. I have a big collage of photos on our wall from when we were first dating. They’re all black and white in black frames. They look great together event though they’re all just random snapshots.
