So, we finally received our wedding pictures 4 mths after our wedding.
We were not impressed at all. She had done no photo editing at all.
So she took the 4 mths to simply upload them to a cd to mail to us!!
Ugh, she left early, took little couple photos, we tried getting her to do more but said she couldn’t cause of lighting outside, well we can take indoor photos.
Oh well, what is done is done. Glad our family got the cake cutting and all that jazz.
Does anyone know a quick way to edit photos to look the pics you see? Any help would be great. Thanks for letting me vent. It just really upsets me!

Aww, I’m soo sorry you are having to experience this. It sucks when your photographer doesn’t seem to want to do their job. I’ve used a program called ipiccy.com it’s free and it edits pics pretty good. I Would love to see some photos from your wedding though. 🙂

@gonecrazy21: Sorry to hear about the photographer issues. I had issues with my photographer as well, so I understand the frustration. The pro photographers on this site will tell you that you are not allowed to edit the pro photos yourself.
That said, for pictures that I have taken I’ve used PicMonkey to edit them. I’ve also used Gimp.

@gonecrazy21: Photoshop. For a free one try Picasa.

I am assuming you are running windows and not linux or whatever? It is hard to explain over the bee (I haven’t even posted a picture on here) but for a quick fix of minor problems you can use Microsoft Office Picture Manager – it is an intuitive tool for everyday/entry level users (in my opinion) and it should already be on your machine. Right click on a photo and select hover over ‘Open With’ to see if the program comes up. Using the colour saturation tool (under the colour option), brightness and contrast and red eye reduction here and there and just playing around should generally improve your pictures (even playing about with some b/w and sepia tones if you feel like it – careful for autocorrect because I don’t think it is very good. In my opinion, even with photoshop there is not much you can do with a terrible photo.
Sorry about this situation.

This is going to sound weird. But I could have a look at the photos. I’m fairly photoshop savvy, and I haven’t had the chance to edit in sooooo long. If you wanna message me, I can send you my address or email.

@gonecrazy21 did you discuss what the timeline for reciving the photos and what type of editing is done to them? Does it say in your contract? Do your photos look like the images you hired her to take?

On the editing, did she give you rights to the images? We don’t allow others to edit images but we are also pretty established and want to control what is being done to our art. Someone just starting out may not have these stipulations and if they have released full rights to edit them i would hire someone to do it. There are a few companies out there that will do it.
