I haven’t really thought about it… I guess it would depend on who it is posting them. I wouldn’t mind if my mother or FSILs posted them. If other people posted them I would find it weird. I don’t like the idea of having to worry about my photos being all over the place though since privacy policies are not very strict…

Im not into it really. My account is private and im not into friends posting my wedding on FB and having random people from highschool seeing them. Seems silly doesnt it? I dont mind pictures of the day but not of me and Fiance.

Oh another thing to worry about is people who steal the photos for fake dress sale scams. There was a bee who had that problem on here earlier. That kind of thing has me nervous… It makes me wonder if I should even do a recap on here after the wedding. I was looking forward to that too.

I’m asking that the ceremony be unplugged i.e. no phones and no pictures, so ceremony pics won’t be an issue- these would be my biggest problem if posted.  I feel like the ceremoney is a special moment between me and my husband in the presence of people we chose to be there.  I’m still a little iffy about recpetion pics as well just because I spent a lot of time planning and I would like to be the first to post pictures- especially of me in my dress.

I don’t really care. I have more important things going on in my life to worry about Aunt Sally posting wedding pictures and tagging me.

I do think it’s rude to ask guests not to post them in general.

I’m not as concerned with photos, but I will be furious if anyone records our ceremony with a cell phone and then posts in on Facebook. In that instance, I will ask that it be removed. That to me is a total invasion of privacy.

I’ve thought about it, but my friends and I are a bit older, and less likely to post more than a handful of pictures from anything – plus because of work we all have strict privacy settings: I’m set on fb so that non friends can’t see anything but my profile picture and my univeristy email address, and among my “friends,” only a select few can see all my information. Lots of my students want to friend me, which I’ll accept, but they go into a restricted group that can see only profile picture and one or two school-related things (they can’t even see my status updates, or in fact anything on my wall). I can’t be tagged without my approval.

So, I figure that a few pictures will pop up, and I’ll probably post a few myself, for those friends and family who can see my wall posts.

Some of the best pictures of the last wedding I attended were from friends, not the official photographer. I say, post away, the more pictures the better.

I didn’t think it was a big deal and this is coming from someone that is tagged in like 10 pictures because I HATE the way I look in photos and I jump out of shots that are going on Facebook. However for the wedding I figured there really was no way to stop it so I just have to deal with it. Some of the shots weren’t the most flattering but I untagged them. Some were GREAT. I mean seriously great! And after the ceremony my husband and I had pictures to look at privately for a few moments! Plus I got tons of comments telling me how amazing I looked and such a thing could never be bad. Wink As it turns out some of my guest photos (from two bridesmaids in particular) were fantastic, I added them to my own album. Plus I feel special that one of my bridesmaids made a wedding album of just me!

@Bride2BeeVA28: My father’s partner actually did record wedding moments but those didn’t make it on until a few days after and I really can’t say much to him, plus we have almost no mutual friends so it’s really for my dad and my father’s partner’s friends than anyone I know. I let it go.
