So today I decided this is what I wanted to do with my life, and I’m totally made perfect for this job, and got so excited.
Then relized I don’t know a thing about the actual business. I had all these grand dreams of starting my own bussiness, buying up a quaint Santa Cruz beach house for a venue, table linens in every color under the sun, and doing everything all in one so I could make couples’ dreams come true for a song, because I just love love so much.
I don’t know when I became such an impulsive person. But anyways, I want to find the real way to do this. Is there such a thing as wedding planner internships/apprenticeships? If so, how do you go about applying for one?

I planned my sisters wedding because she loved some of my ideas for the candy bar and decor, and it just went off. some of her friends asked me to help with there wedding. When I started planning my wedding I knew its what I wanted to do. So I got certified and I get 30 ort more weddings a year now.

@Butterbee: I’m in the same position! I just joined Wedding bee & am trying to take a leap of faith, but have no where to start! I live in St. Louis and most people I know are their own wedding planners, especially at a time when cutting costs is extremely important! Trying to find someone to let me intern or at least shadow, but am still waiting for responses back!
