@gabby.quinn:  Welcome to the bee! I’ve seen some lovely navy weddings with red accents. I think the easiest place to make a statement about your theme is with the venue. A backyard reception feels really different than one in a castle which in turn feels different than one in a hotel.

@gabby.quinn:  Thank you both for your service! I think there are a lot of things you could do, but it’s important to figure out a few things first and foremost- like will you be wearing your uniform or a dress? And will he be wearing his uniform, or a suit?

Depending on your ranks, I know that at least in the Marines NCOs are allowed to do the arch of sabres, which I think is wicked cool.

I also think you could play around with the idea of blending the Army and Marines, since they are sworn rivals, lol. Maybe get a cake topper with a groom in a Marine uniform and a bride in an army uniform? You should be able to find someone to make you one on etsy.

Going with a red/white/blue theme always works too! Or you could do one or more of those colors with gold accents , which would match the details in both the dress blues and the Army’s dress uniforms!

How big of a wedding do you plan on having? And how formal would you like it to be? I love helping people come up with themes and stuff, so give us some more information and we’d be happy to help you come up with inspiration!
