So what’s the order of things once you pick a date? Book the vendor and food first, and then wait until 6-8 weeks before the wedding to send the invites, and then wait for the repliles? Won’t the RSVPs come back awfully close to the day of who’s going to be there or not??

The knot website was a HUGE help for me. I bought my invitations at vistaprints through groupon. I also created a wedding website through the Knot. In this website, I was able to get information out about our wedding, registries, and also allowed my guest to rsvp and pick out the food selections they would like. I was able to store my guest information and also create a seating chart with the help of the Knot. It bascally helped me out with organization. As far as the obvious budgets, one thing I did not take into account was last minute details. Family came into town and I wanted to show them around the city and go out to dinner. Also, I would probably get the gifts for family and your attendants out the way as soon as you can.
