Dunno if this helps, but the average in NYC from the quotes I got was $8k + for full planning. DOC was around $5k and below.

Many of them also base the DOC and/or full planning fee on the budget percentage. That was about 10%. πŸ™‚

in the DC area, i got a few quotes for DOCs that ranged from $1500-2500. but these DOCs were actually more like month-of planners–i passed along all the contact info for my vendors to the one i chose before the wedding so she did all the last minute confirming and such, and she helped me make my timeline and confirm it with everyone, in addition to all the day-of setting up and coordinating

The DOC was included in my facility rental which was only $400.  Already met with her and she’s great!

It totally depends on your experience and if you can get alligned with a well-known planning company. For “boutique” high end DOC, they go for $1500-$2500+ for DOC. For those who are “just going out on their own,” the quotes have been closer to $500 for DOC. (These girls have experience with at least 10 weddings or professional experience in a similar field.)

    I’m up in San Francisco.

Oops! Sorry, the 10% was just for full. DOC was usually a flat fee or 5-8%.

@College: I replied on your other thread too, but I just noticed you’re moving to Santa Maria soon. That’s actually where I live.  When will you be starting your business out here?

I’m in the Atlanta area and I got quotes between $150 (just starting out) and $800 (established) for a DOC.

The DOC I hired is in between that range.
