My life has drastically changed for the better the past few months and I’m newly engaged and planning a wedding. Im so very grateful, but on the other end… gosh it’s stressful and overwhelming at times planning it! sometimes I don’t know what to do! I’m having a short engagement so I’m guessing that could also be why. I work full time as a nurse, go to school full time and wedding planning also takes up a ton of time. Also, to add to that I miss my fiancé dearly as he lives far away (he’s been thankfully very supportive during this process). I also have a planner too but it still feels like so much to get done as I’m 2.5 months out and still choosing vendors.

Make a list and focus on a timeline. The knot website has a great tool where you can input your budget and your timeline, and the site will help you keep track of everything and your guest list. My engagement was 5 months, and I was traveling for work during that time, while my them-fiancé was long distance by 3 hours and could only come home every other weekend, if that. So, I totally get where you’re coming from! But you have a planner to help, and you can do this!
Make sure you check off the hardest vendors first. Venue, then caterer, baker, photographer – florist and decorations are lower on the list.

bree90 : my advice to anyone who is overwhelmed or know they will be overwhelmed is to elope. I know i would have saved myself a ton of stress if I had juat taken the advice of the wise couples who had juat gone though the planning process and were telling me that if they had to do it again they would elope.
