Woke up exhausted this morning from a wedding planning induced nightmare! I dreamt that we were at our venue on the day, and there was suddenly ahall/theatre (it is an outdoor venue). while I was dressed, one of my sisters and her son started doing a stand-up routine to entertain everyone (instead of our ceremony starting). I then noticed none of my bridal party was dressed, I went up to my other sister to tell her I’d forgotten the lawn games at home. She pointed out that everyone was seeing my dress before the actual wedding.
Then realized that the day of coordinator should have been there hours ago and she wasn’t, flowers weren’t there…other vendors never showed but those 2 were the ones that I was most concerned about, and no one was answering my calls. Ultimately, everyone left before we could get married, and nobody cared that we didn’t actually have a wedding. Including my fiance.
Anyone else’s subconscious as stressed out as mine?

Totally normal. I had a recurring nightmare that it was an hour before my wedding and I was just realizing that I didn’t buy a dress or schedule hair and makeup.
While the actual day had a few nightmare events, I did have a dress, hair and make-up 😉

- Wedding: July 2017 - Omni Bedford Springs Resort
I’ve now had three of these nightmares. The first one was that it was the day of the wedding, and we were just getting ready to go outside for the ceremony when I realized that I’d never sent out the invitations.
The second was that it was my second dress fitting, and my gown was totally different than the one I bought. Instead of my beaded organza A-line, I had a lace on lace mermaid with a super high neckline and a skirt that didn’t flare out until it hit my ankles. Then it ended up being 8 feet wide. To top that all off, it had one long sleeve. I was mortified!
The third dream was that none of our guests could get a hotel room, and so everyone was staying at our house for the entire week leading up to the wedding, and one by one, they all got a stomach virus. There were sick people all over my house, and I was so terrified and stressed about possibly getting sick before the wedding.
I shudder to think what my mind will come up with next. I guess this is fairly normal though.

I’ve had three wedding stress dreams in the last two weeks- somehow they always seem to include me forgetting to tell my bridesmaids when the hair and makeup people are coming, so it’s 1.5 hours before the wedding’s supposed to start and nobody’s gotten their hair and makeup done yet. I also seem to haven’t done the seating chart or anything like that yet, so I’m yelling at my mom whether we’ve gotten back all of the RSVPs and she’s like, “yeah, why? Do you need them for something?”
I’ve still got 5.5 months to go…

Yep. I keep having dreams that I can’t find my dress or that people thought the time of the wedding was different and showed up late.

I just sent my sister this log I had been keeping of all the wedding-related dreams I’ve had the last few months:
-10 min before ceremony I go to put on my dress and realize I never bought one
-already running 30 minutes late, and bridesmaids still aren’t ready, parents are just hanging out in the hotel room
-ivanka trump and Jared Kushner have their second wedding same day, time and venue as us, so all of the staff is preoccupied with them and pay no attention to getting us down the aisle
-FI’s parents insist on including little Mickey Mouse figurines in bouts and bouquets
-veil turns out to be a long strip of receipt tape attached to a hair comb

I was cool as a cucumber with planning but I had the most BIZARRE dream one night. We were the first to use our reception venue and I had a dream that the owner decided to open it up for a basketball game (??) prior to our reception. Like, our reception started at 4 and the game started at 3:30 type thing. I got to the venue in my dream and was FURIOUS so I stomped onto the court (seriously, so weird) and had a bridezilla moment where I screamed “GET OUT OF MY VENUE, I’M THE BRIIIIIIIDDDDDDE!!!” and then the basketball game was done and we had our reception. Then I woke up. Weirdest dream I have ever had.
