It all depends on what type of atmosphere the two of you want for your wedding and your budget.  Have you decided your budget yet?  That usually helps exclude some options.

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming at times.  One of the first steps, as someone suggested, is determining a budget.  Beyond that, perhaps you could consider some of your favorite places (ex: beach, gardens, parks, museums etc).  Also, consider places that are meaningful to both of you such as where you had your first date, your favorite restaurant, etc..  Browse through bridal magazines, ask friends and family who’ve recently married and/or even a special event coordinator for venue suggestions.  If you both find something you love, make sure its within your budget and that it would be appropriate for your wedding size and theme.  Good luck!
