@Tmpalm:  We’ve had a 10 month engagement and Ive been home with my four kids for most of it. I work part time and obviously do a lot with the kids, but have had to find an hour or two every day to get the wedding stuff done. I guess it really depends on how much DIY youll be incorporating. Though dont let that fool you, there’s a lot involved in working with vendors too.

I am off work for the summer and have been only working part time and casually since March and I have a lot of DIY stuff going on to be honest it does take up a large part of my time and I am dedicated to it. However it does not have to take over your life, you still have to be yourself… live life the way you want to, what’s important to you… wedding projects or running it depends on your values.. not the values of others.

I’m getting married September 1.  I have a half marathon on Sept. 30 with a serious PR goa, and I’m running a marathon on November 19 🙂  So, wedding planning is not my new fitness goal.  I do some DIY stuff, but most of it is like: make a slideshow, scan pictures…I’d rather run in my spare time.
