(Closed) Wedding planning makes me feel disheartened…

Don’t feel bad. You are doing the sensible thing! A lot of vendors have a “wedding-mark-up”.

I’m on a budget too and if the vendors have got a snooty or reverse-bridezilla attitude, they get a bad review from me on Yelp. 🙂 We aren’t going to have anything done professionally; we are reaching out to friends and family. My Maid/Matron of Honor is doing my make-up for me. It gives that extra personal touch. Plus, the wedding is about two people in love coming together — details won’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

My perennial rose plant from Safeway (survived since Valentine’s Day) just died of neglect… There goes my plan of saving money on flowers for next year. But I might check out the local greenhouse to get some more perennial flowers/roses during May long weekend.

@CARA1978:  That would certainly put her in her place! I’m sure you could do a good job.

@lealorali:  I totally agree. Have to be careful to not anger any florists on here, though, lol. I know the photographers on this site get pretty offended when people mention how expensive everything is.

Get quotes from other florists!! The first florist I went to pulled that same “Tough budget” BS I went to another and they got me amazing flowers for that exact price range. Florists can vary alot, shop around & don’t let her bully you!
